Last Show of the Tour September 14th 1996
Crew is Laid Off
Is That Like Fired?

Our last show was at Loring Park, the Ben and Jerry's One World, One Heart Festival in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I'm sure all of you are familiar with Ben and Jerry's support of social issues and the environment. I support the concept of this, so please folks, get involved in recycling and keeping our waters clean. This is really serious stuff and each of us needs to be involved.
I met the guitar players for Toad The Wet Sprocket. They are really nice guys. I ask them if they liked their Matchless Amps. My wife asked, "What did y'all talk about?". I told her we talked about our Matchless Amps and how cool they were. Toad put on an excellant show.
Last Road Tip of this Tour: ALWAYS look in your coffee cup, especially during outdoor shows, before even thinking about taking a sip. NEVER assume that bees don't like coffee or won't sting your tongue. OOWW! That hurt!
Robert will not be going out on tour any more this year. Next year, the band will be the same, the crew might be different. The "Real Memphis Horns" will be appearing with Robert on some of the shows and I'll be back, but for right now, the only thing that matters is that I bought a really nice boat and I love to fish with my wife. So if you see me on the mighty Columbia River, wave or something. See ya'll soon.
