| Add On Unlimited Power... with Magnatone's Self-Contained Power Amps. A Bold and Brawny Commander of Attention. ...1969 catalog hype
|
C. Martin sent us this picture of his PS300 powered speaker cabinet. The PS 300 has a 300-watt all transitor power amp mounted in the bottom of the cabinet. The PS 300 is part of Magnatone's Brute Sound of solid state amps from the late 1960's. They claimed a very low distortion of 4% and you could daisy-chain them for more power. It has two 15-inch heavy-duty speakers. The cabinet also has two ducted-ports for extended low frequency response. The cabinet has a removable grill with the speakers mounted from the front and recessed pocket handles built in. These cabinets have the Magnatone "Exclusive Profile" (see photo right) that was specially designed to fit in a car trunk. I have tried putting it in the car trunk, but it takes two people to lift it.Weight: 89-lbs. Dimesions: 12 x 24 x 39-inches. Accessories (Optional): C-300 Cover with protective panels and carring strap, and BC-1 heavy-duty, nickel plated casters. Approx. 300 Watts
