DaVinci D.V.A.L.

Barry Miller sent these photos of the DaVinci D.V.A.L. Hmm..., sounds like a brand of pasta. From what Barry told me, (this could be rumour), Estey made DaVinci amps for an accordian player named Milton Mann. He sold DaVinci amps and accordians, and had instruction studios, for lessons in Southern California. Barry's sister in-law was a student. Barry bought this amp at a local swap meet in Santa Ana.

control panelHere are the details. It has 2 channels (each with high & low gain) preamp'd with "Estey" 7025 tubes. There are bass, treble, and loudness controls for each channel. Channel 1 has a mellow/normal switch and channel 2 a normal/bright switch. Channel 1 has what is labeled "Super Vibrato", WoW ! The phase shift sections use 6CG7's. Intensity and speed controls, a foot switch jack, and a remote speaker jack complete this section of the amp. The next section has an anti-hum control, pilot lamp, standby, and on/off switch. Two 6L6 Beam power tubes make about 40 watts. Transformer numbers are: 6108-606-1-42, 20-0808. Two 12-inch Oxford #12K5R-7 speakers (date code: 465-351and magnet # 25-1009). Rectifier tube is a 5U4GA.
