| The Mercury 440 was made by Estey Electronics, Torrence, Calif. The 440 has 2 input channels (each with high & low gain) preamp'd by 12AX7's. Two volume controls and one tone for both channels. A 12AU7 is used in the vibrato circuits with half a 6EU7 for the oscillator. One side of a 6DR7 is use to drive the reverb. The reverb output is amplified by the other half of the 6EU7 and 6DR7. The #1122 is stamped, followed by #6207 inked into the reverb pan. Half a 12AX7 for phase inversion into twin 6V6 power tubes. One 12" Oxford speaker #12K5R-7 (EIA codes: 465-206 on the frame, and 4616 on the magnet). The power supply transformer #'s are 6206 and 606-202. A 6CA4 rectifier tube for Hvdc. Cabinet dimensions were 10"wide x 16"high, 20 1/2"long. Weight: 30-lbs. Original list price in 1963 was $240.00

| Here is another example of the model 440 that came into our shop for power supply repairs. The guys in our shop made a new back panel and recovered the cabinet with #888 Brown/black Crush Span, imitation leather. Looks and sound sharp ! !
