Magnatone model 260-A
I was working for Robert Cray, in May ' 97, in San Francisco. We had a day-off, so I went hunting Magnatones and found this at "Real Guitars". The 260A has 2 inputs, one with vibrato, and 12AX7 tube for the pre-amps. It uses 6CG7's in the vibrato circuit followed by 1/2 a 12AX7 for phase inversion. Power is supplied by two 5881's into two 12 inch Oxford speakers. Notice that the nameplate is in front of the grill cloth and has an overhang, earlier models built at the Inglewood location had their nameplates set into the grill with an extra piece for the overhang i.e. 260 and the 280. This amp might still be For Sale at "Real Guitars" (415)552-3310. If you own one of these Model 415's or purchased this one from "Real Guitars" Email me and let me know more info.
