Custom 250

This Custom 250 was donated to the archive by Gary Knopps of West Virgina. Made by Magna Electronics, Torrence, CA. It has two input channels preamp'd with a 12AX7. The high gain channel has high " low gain inputs, volume control, normal " bright switch and a tone control, also vibrato controls for speed and intensity. The low gain channel has a volume control only. A medium-mu 6CG7 tube is used in the pitch shift circuit. Phase inverting is handled by the medium-mu side of a 12DW7. The high-mu side makes the low frequency oscillator (LFO) to drive the pitch shifters. Twin 6973 power tubes drive the output transformer and a single Oxford 12-inch speaker #12K5R-1 (date code: 465-108) in an open back cabinet. back view of Custom 250DC rectification is accomplished with an EZ81/6CA4 tube. Remote speaker and footswitch jacks are also provided. This Custom 250 is ready to rock at the next gig ! !
