Jeff Morris sent us this photo of the Varsity Deluxe Model 108. He purchased it at the New England Guitar Show from Sound Barrier of Chattanooga, TN. As you can see it's covered in black "Mother of Toilet Seat". The Model 108 has 3 instrument inputs that are pre-amp'd by half a 12AX7. A volume control and tone control that doubles as the on-off switch. The other half of the 12AX7 is used for the gain circuit. A single-ended, class "A", 6V6GT beam power tube drives the output transformer (number: 9114).  It uses a an 8-inch Jensen AlNiCo speaker (date code: 220649) The power transformer is labeled, T-54464, Magna Electronics, 0-5. High voltage rectifier tube is a 5Y3. The original catalog list price was $59.50. Weight: 12 lbs.
